The modern warden can really make a difference to the community environment by

completing the work outlined below. The work may be expanded to include other small

scale maintenance work. Appropriate basic training on the hazards of working in the

highway and standards of work to be achieved may be provided.


This is contract for 20 hours per week.

LENGTHSMAN SERVICES


The Contractor shall carry out the works described in the following work schedule:


  • To keep the pavements clear of litter and to keep the appearance of the parish in good order

  • Maintaining land and property in the ownership of the Council including parks and

    open spaces. Work to include line marking the pitches, grass cutting, pruning of

    bushes, hedge trimming, litter picking and sweeping, strimming, control of weeds,

    and other vegetation.

  • To carry out maintenance work including painting, erection of signs, installation of

    litter bins etc as required, keeping the play areas clean and tidy and to report any

    maintenance issues.

  • Maintaining the Sports pavilion by cleaning and undertaking basic routine

    maintenance.

  • Operate generally portable machinery owned by the Council.

  • Undertake regular inspections of all the Parish Council’s properties including

    recreation grounds, toilets and changing rooms, play areas and amenities

    identifying necessary repairs and desirable improvements.

  • Such other duties appropriate to the responsibility of the post as required from

    time to time by the Clerk to the Council


The warden may be required to travel around the parish at short notice.
