Mark your calendars for one of South Derbyshire’s biggest summer events the Festival of Leisure 2025, taking place on: Saturday 21st June & Sunday 22nd June 2025 at the Maurice Lea Memorial Park, Swadlincote which is free entry for all.
Live Music on Three Stages
This year’s festival brings more music than ever before — with three stages featuring a brilliant mix of local talent, high-energy bands, and fresh new performers. Don’t miss the brand-new Grass Roots Stage, where up-and-coming artists will be performing throughout the weekend.

The whole park will be buzzing with walkabout performers and interactive entertainment, including:
A Wild West Stunt Show
A dazzling Variety Spectacular
A one-man comedy show...and plenty of surprise acts throughout the weekend.
Get Creative
Families can enjoy free art activities led by Melbourne Artists, People Express, and Derbyshire Makes with "Art Under the Trees" — a perfect chance for all ages to get hands-on with creativity.
Family Fun
From the funfair and inflatable zone to the delightful mini train ride, there’s plenty to keep children and families entertained across both days.
Food, Drink and Local Shopping
Enjoy a wide range of street food including wood-fired pizzas, Greek wraps, sweet treats and homemade bakes.The licensed bar will also be back, giving visitors the chance to relax and unwind in the festival atmosphere. Local craft and gift stalls will be dotted around the park, offering handmade items and goods from independent South Derbyshire businesses.
