Exciting Play Area Upgrade at Scropton Road Recreation Ground!

Hatton Parish Council is delighted to announce the completion of the play equipment upgrade at Scropton Road Recreation Ground! The new play area is now awaiting independent safety testing, after which it will be ready for use.

This project involved the removal and replacement of several play units, introducing a range of new, inclusive, and accessible play equipment for children of all abilities. Additionally, the existing equipment has been refurbished and freshly painted, ensuring a bright and welcoming space for families.

A huge thank you to the children and parents of Hatton for their valuable input in shaping this fantastic new play area! Your suggestions have helped create a fun and engaging space that will be enjoyed for many years to come.

We also took on board feedback from parents and carers—new pushchair- and wheelchair-accessible benches have been installed to enhance comfort and accessibility for everyone.

This exciting upgrade has been fully funded through Section 106 contributions from the new development at the top of Station Road, demonstrating how local investment can directly benefit our community.
